Marty Spade, Jr. & Kyle Burkholder Split Charger Twin 15’s: Delano, Hardesty, Vandergrift & Dennis Repeat Winners at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex

* **MARKLEYSBURG, PA (August 28, 2010) – Twin 15’s for the TC Race Car Parts Chargers highlighted Saturday night’s portion of the doubleheader weekend at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex. Taking the feature wins were Marty Spade Jr. and Kyle Burkholder. Ron Delano scored his second Jack’s Auto Recycling Super Late Model feature with Cody Hardesty also taking his second win in the Brooks Automotive Group FASTRAK Late Models. Todd Dennis won for the eighth time this season in the Bobby Lake Motorsports Street Stocks and Vic Vandergrift won his seventh Melvin’s Automatic Transmission Center Modified feature.*

* Kyle Burkholder and Marty Spade Jr. led the TC Race Car Parts Chargers out for their first 15-lap feature. At the start it was Burkholder taking the initial led. Burkholder held on for three laps before Spade made a pass on the outside going into turn one to take over the top spot. Once there Spade, of Farmington, never relinquished his lead to Burkholder who pressured him to the checkered flag. Following them in third was JT Baird ahead of Kenny Burkholder, Justin Howell, Brad Jenkins, Donnie Walters, Bennie Dennis, newlywed CJ Nicola and Jason Gibbs. Kenny Burkholder and JT Baird won the preliminaries.*

* Out next were the Melvin’s Automatic Transmission Center Modifieds for their 15-lap feature. Farimont, WV’s Vic Vandergrift took off at the drop Billy Simmons green flag and checked out. Brent Trimble took home his best finish of the season with a second place run. Rounding out the top ten were Deana Groves, Nolan Dalton, Bobby Bennett, Tommy Hawk, Lou Ennis, Ryan Montgomery, Josh Cramer and Bruce Dreistadt. Taking the heat wins were Trimble and Dalton.*

* The 20-lap Brooks Automotive Group FASTRAK Late Model feature was plagued with cautions but Oakland, MD’s Cody Hardesty survived for the win. Following Hardesty at the finish was defending champion Troy Shields. Dan Angelicchio raced from 21st to take second over John Over, Ricky Meglaye, Jacob Lash, Ray Johnson, Mike Lewis, Brandon McGrudy and Ron Smithley (from 22^nd ). The three qualifying heats for the 28 cars on hand were won by Hardesty, Billy Stile III and Troy Shields.*

* It was all Ron Delano, Jr. in the 25-lap Jack’s Auto Recycling Super Late Model feature. Delano wasted no time taking the lead from his pole starting spot and took off. Nick Dickson chased Delano at first before Robbie Scott got past him. Seventh starting Keith Jackson came on late in the race. Jackson caught Scott and they both chased after the high flying Delano. When the checkered dropped, Stoystown’s Ron Delano sat in victory lane for his second time this season. Scott, Jackson, Dickson, Mel Minnick Jr., Butch McGill, Tim Senic, Doug Horton, Bob Hersman and Jeff Ferguson filled out the top ten. Danny Pugh, Dickson & Delano were all heat winners.*

* Mike Duritsky led the first two laps of the Bobby Lake Motorsports Street Stock feature. Lap three saw Newell’s Todd Dennis blow by for the lead. Dennis went uncontested the final 13 laps to take another feature win. Duritsky rode home second ahead of Bob Nelson, Ryan Newman, Jim Byers, Scott Herring, Ben Policz, Barry Faris, Lee Mansberry and Jim Bendishaw, Jr. Heat wins went to Dennis and Bendishaw.*

* They saved the best for last as the TC Race Car Parts Chargers came out for their second feature event. Kyle Burkholder lead all 15 laps but he couldn’t relax until the checker. Burkholder had JT Baird challenge him several times along with older brother Kenny Burkholder. Then Marty Spade Jr. powered his Ford Thunderbird from seventh to challenge Kyle the final two laps. The younger Burkholder held on to score his second win of the year over Spade. Baird ended up third ahead of Kenny Burkholder, Jason Gibbs, CJ Nicola, Donnie Walters, Bennie Dennis, Brad Jenkins and Justin Howell.
