The first racing weekend will be October 6-8. A Thursday night practice session will be held for all divisions from 7 - 9 pm. On Friday and Saturday, Oct. 7-8, UFo “ROAR” will find Super Late Models running two entire programs. Friday night’s “Night Flight 2 Mars” for Super Late Models is a 35 lapper for $2000 to win. The FASTRAK NE Tour will run heats only on Friday night along with the Futures Cup Championship race sponsored by T J Construction.. Street Stocks and RoadRunners will have complete racing programs that evening. Saturday night will see the UFo Super Late Models “ROAR” going 55 laps for $5000 to win. The FASTRAK NE Tour Late Models will compete for $2000 in the A Main plus there will be a non-qualifiers race sponsored by T J Construction . EMods and Chargers will run complete programs that evening. Rain date for this weekend is Sunday, October 9.
After a weekend off, the Super Late Models will go “Topless” in a “Run-What-You-Brung” 30 lapper paying $1200 to win. The FASTRAK Late Models will also be “Topless” for 25 laps in the $1000 to win race. Other divisions racing on Saturday, October 22, will be Mini Wedges (15 laps - $50 to win – top five trophies), 4 Cylinder RoadRunners (20 laps and $200 to win), Street Stocks (25 laps paying $400 to win) and Chargers (20 laps - $200 to win). Hot laps will begin at 5:45 with racing at 6:15.
Then on October 27-29, Roaring Knob will wrap up the 2011 racing season with “GAMBLERS PARTS BUILDER RACE FEST” beginning on Thursday night when all divisions can practice from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. Heat Races for FASTRAK Late Models, Steel Block Bandits, Classic Cars and 4 Cylinder RoadRunners will be held on Friday night. A dash will also be run for the FLMs. On Saturday night, FASTRAK LMs will run 50 laps (with a 25 lap fuel stop) paying $5000 to win and $200 to start. A non-qualifiers race will be held for drivers not qualifying for the A Main. This weekend’s big event for FASTRAK Late Models will pay $200 for fast time and $200 to the Dash winner. A $50 entry fee, for the FASTRAK cars, is due by October 10. After October 10, entry will be $100. Entry fees may be sent to Oval Track Promotions, 304 E Green Street, Westminster MD 21157. An entry form can be found at the end of this press release. The Steel Block Bandits will compete in a 40 lapper paying $4000 to win and $200 to start. Classic Cars and RoadRunners will run feature events on Saturday night. RoadRunners will compete for 25 laps paying $500 providing there are 24 cars entered. Mini Wedges will run heats and features on both Friday and Saturday. Hot laps begin at 7:15 on Friday evening. On Saturday, hot laps start at 4:00. Rain Date for this weekend is Sunday, October 30.
